Using your Mask
Step 1
Now we could start with the mask height of 245,
but I want you to see what happens when you use a smaller height.
Let's start with a new image matching the settings in the image below.
Step 2
Select the color you want for your side border;
grab your bucket (fill tool) and click in the image.
Step 3
From the 'Mask' menu, choose 'load from menu'.
Step 4
Select the mask you just made.
Step 5
(Image is bad due to over compressing) You now have
a masked image but you need to get rid of the mask.
Step 6
Using the 'Mask' menu, click on 'delete';
DO NOT forget this step.
you will get this window, select 'yes'.
Step 7
Add a new layer for the background color.
Name it 'back' so you don't get confused.
Step 8
Using your 'Layer Palette', click on the layer named
back
and slide it down below the other layer
Step 9
Set your color (tileable pattern or texture will
work to so log as it tiles well) for the background.
Step 10
Grab the bucket (fill tool) and click into the image
Close the Window when Finished or
