Step 31
Time for the furniture and computer.

Add a new Layer and name it 'chair back' for a little later.

Active layer is chair back, change it to 'pants/skirt' layer by clicking on it.

Step 32
Add new layer and name it 'computer'.

Here is where you add your monitor.  The one I used here is a download or you can go find your own and prepare it by cleaning it according to my cleaning tutorial then using the rectangle selection tool or the point to point selection tool to cut out the screen area.  I applied the computer by tube by clicking right about where I figured the chin would be then I tined it cream using PSP's colorization filter under the Colors menu.   computer zip file

Step 33
Activate the Magic Wand         and the tool options are set as the image below.

then click in the middle of the computer screen area.
Hit the 'Print Screen' key on the keyboard.

Using the Edit menu, select Paste/Into selection.

Sharpen the image one time.    SAVE FILE

Step 34
Add new layer named 'table'.

Activate the 'preshape' tool

In the tool options box, drop down the shapes list and select the rounded rectangle.  Set the foreground tool to a wood pattern.  If the grains are running up and down, catch them!   No;  that's wrong.   Set the angle to 90 degrees.  If the grain is running horizontal, leave Angle set to 0.

In the layers palette, slide the 'table' layer down so that the 'computer' layers is above it.

Draw a rectangle about where I did in the image below then switch to the rectangle selection tool and drag a selection around it, click the mouse once to set the selection.

In the Layers palette, right click on the 'table' layer and choose 'duplicate' then right click on the 'copy of table' layer and

select rename and name it  'table edge', then click on it and drag it to under the 'table' layer.  Do whatever you did to darken the 'seat rim' earlier.

Using the rectangle selection tool, drag it down to expose the same amount for the table rim as you did for the seat rim.

Step 35
The 'table edge' layer is active;  click on the 'back' layer to make it active.

Add new layer and name it seat back.

Using the preshape tool again, drag a rectangle in the middle of you back starting above where the spacebar on the computer would be and down to about the waist line area.

In the Layers palette, right click on the 'seat back' layer and choose duplicate then drag the 'Copy of seat back' layer below the 'seat back' layer.

Right click on the 'Copy of seat back' layer and rename the layer to 'seat back edge'.

Drag the 'seat back edge' layer below the 'seat back' layer

Using the rectangle selection tool, select the area and click once to set the selection then drag it UP as much as you dragged the 'seat rim' and 'table edge'  down.  Darken using the same technique you did for the other edges.

Activate the 'seat back' layer.

SAVE file.

Step 36
Add a new layer and name it 'seat back support'.

Activate the 'draw' tool, 'set the colors' palette  and the tool options.

I know it's hard to see the path, but starting above the lower edge of the seat, draw your line until the very edge of the drawing tool shape brush is even with the bottom of the seat edge.

using the rectangle selection tool, drag a selection around the new seat brace, then click once to set the selection.  Now move the selection to line it up with the very edge.

Copy/Paste the selection as a new object and line it up even with the other 'seat back support' bar.

Mirror the image.

Drag a selection around both bars and click once to set the selection.

Step 37
Now we are ready for the Blade Pro plugin filter.  I originally used a different plugin for this part but since the plugin is no longer available, I spent a while making the 'RodIron39' preset for use in this step.  You may have a different plugin filter that will do the job, but since there is a free trial of Blade Pro available from FlaminPear.com, I chose it because I knew everyone could get their hands on it.  Your file is saved, so you can safely close it to go get these things if you need to.  You will unzip the preset to a a subfolder in the Blade Pro folder.
    RodIron39 preset zip file
After the program is installed and you have the preset unzipped, start PSP and the plugin will be available from the plugins list.

In the Paint Shop Pro interface ( can also use Super Paint Shop Pro ), load the preset then click OK.

Image should now look like this.

Step 38
the 'seat back support' layer is active, click on the 'pants' layer to activate it.

Grab your  'draw' tool again
Add a new layer named 'seat stand'.

Starting somewhere above the seat edge, drag the line down to the hem line.

grab the rectangle selection tool and drag a line starting above the seat back line and down to include the entire seat stand;  click once to set the selection;  apply Blade Pro with same settings.

Grab the 'freehand' selection tool

click your way to a slightly curved bottom slightly below the hemline of the pants or skirt and hit the 'delete' key.

Step 39
the last part of the furniture is the base for the chair stand.
grab your preshape tool          and set the tool options to the 'eclipse' shape.

Add a new layer named 'chair stand base'.

the 'chair stand base' layer is active;  drag it below the skirt/pants layer.

Drag an eclipse; any size you think looks good is fine and you can position it later so you don't need to do anything but pay attention to the size you want.

use the rectangle selection tool to select the eclipsed area and click once to set the selection.

Start the Blade Pr and change ONLY the shape by clicking on it and dragging down to the one pictured below then click OK.

Your base can now be moved if need be and then DESELECT.
