Download the practice image to your computer if you don't have an image of you own.
Software used: PSP7 and EyeCandy3This is a large project - select 4 flesh colors (dark, medium, light & pale) and either write them down, save to custom or make a color swatch to pick colors from - would keep the color number handy also.
Open image in PSP and using the rectangle selection tool, select an area that includes all of the face, copy, paste as new image. Close the full image until later.
Add new layer named eyesocket. Using lasso tool set to 'point to point', anitalias checked; outline the eye socket area precisely - after you outline one and close the selection, hold down the SHIFT key to while outlining the second. Flood fill with white, then, open drop shadow and set the color to dark flesh color. Looking at the sample window, set the H & V to 0, opacity to about 70 and slide the blur until a shadow is the same height as the white area all the way around. Apply 2 or 3 times. Deselect. Hide layer and activate background layer again.

Add new layer named iris1 if there is an outer edge color in the iris like there is here, otherwise iris will do. select the outer edge of the iris of both eyes, pick up the color from the outer rim of the iris and flood fill selections.

Looks like mud to me; deselect; hide layer, activate background layer.
Add new layer named iris2 and make selection of just eh inner iris of both eyes. Take a good look - solid color or pattern? Definitely a mosaic grey look here - so I found a pattern that was close and flood filled with that.![]()
Granite eyes?? Deselect; hide layer, activate background layer.

Add new layer named pupil; select the pupil area of both eyes; flood fill with black or near black.

I wouldn't call it 'bright eyes'! Deselect; hide layer, activate background layer.

Add new layer named glint, using the brush tool, set color to white or near white, set brush size to approximately match the size of the glint, probably best to click the button 2 or 3 times in each eye. Deselect.

Hide glint layer - activate layer iris2.

Now, this isn't bad but a little too patternized, so gaussian blur it with radius of 1.
