Star Animation

Normally, I would just shoot you to the animation steps for the candelabra tutorial, but since this image is so very small, I did it over.  Most of the animation I do calls for basically the same steps except that I generally have at least 3 images to animate.

Here, we have only two.

With the psp file of the star complete DO NOT DECREASE COLORS.

Step 1
Open a second new image

Step 2
Zoom in 10 times to make sure image is transparent.

Step 3
Save images to a work folder as 1 & 2 in psp format.

Step 4
Open Animation Shop

Step 5
From the File menu, start the Animation Wizard

Step 6
Match settings in windows 1 through 3 and click Next button for next screen.

Step 7
Set timing to 33.  (*the lower the number, the faster the animation.  100=1 second).  You can set the images for repeat indefinitely or to repeat a certain number of times.  For something like this, I choose indefinitely.

Step 8
Load the images from the 'work' folder in the order you want them to run.  I started with '1' which is the star - sometimes I start wit image '2'.  Click Next.

Step 9
You're done here;  click Finish.

Step 10
Images load in frames (looks like a film strip).  Click the animation button to see it animate.  The image is so small it appears to have a grey background.

Step 11
We don't want a grey background on it, so under the View menu, click Zoom in by 5 - just to be sure.

If background is transparent, continue.  If not, you may have decreased the number of colors in your star image before saving - go back and do again.

Step 12
From the File menu save the image.

I don't know what folder I want it in so I just save back to my 'work' folder temporarily.  This window will be followed by 4 more to complete the save.

I always save at better image quality as I WON'T sacrifice quality for load time.  You have enough distortion of quality at this setting generally speaking but due to the way the image was built (pixel by pixel) there won't be much distortion with this one.

This is a task completion window, when all bars are full, Next button will darken.

This is a preview window - if you cancel here, the image will not be saved.  Click Next button.

This is an informational window.  Click Finish button.

Image is saved and the animation changes to reflect the optimization and you can now close Animation Shop.

Close Window when Finished
