Beary Best Friends Selection Tutorial

This was made using Paint Shop Pro 7.

You will need to choose the tiles you are using for these bears
open them in psp and minimize them, or save to your patterns folder
You will find lots of free tiles here.

I used the Plug In called Eyecandy Jiggle

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP
and vector shapes. I do not explain how to use the tools needed.

Remember to save your work often!


Start by opening a new image 400 x 400 on a transparent background

First we will make all of our vector shapes and then do the shading

Using the preset shapes tool with Ellipse shape, vector checked
and set your fill for the color you are making your bear..

Using Node Edit shape the bears back foot
You can see by the rulers in the preview below
about where I have placed this foot



When you have it shaped the way you like go to
your layers pallet and right click on this layer
and choose convert to raster layer and right
click again to rename it girls back foot

Using the preset shapes again with the same settings
and fill color/pattern shape the boys back foot
the same way using node edit



Convert this to a raster layer and rename it boys back foot

Use the preset shapes again to node edit the girls front foot



Convert this to a raster layer and rename it girls front foot

Using the preset shapes again and node edit, make the boys front foot



Convert this to a raster layer and rename it boys front foot

Now shape out the girls back arm



Convert to a raster layer, rename it girls back arm

Make the boys back arm



Convert to a raster layer, rename it boys back arm

Change your fill pattern/color to your choice for the
girl bears shirt, and make her back sleeve like so



Convert to a raster layer and rename girls shirt 1

Change your fill to the color/pattern you are using
for her dress and make her dress like so



Convert to a raster layer and rename it girls dress

Now change your fill for the boys pants, I used the jeans
tile in the pattern folder, and shape his pants....



Convert to a raster layer and rename it boys pants

Change your fill color/pattern you are using for the
boys shirt and make part of his shirt.....



Convert to a raster layer and rename it boys shirt
