My first attempt at a pixel painting tutorial! Good Luck!
Start by opening a new image on a tranparent background 200 x 250
To make this angel, we will use the paintbrush with these settings.

Starting with the left wing I used #C0C0C0 for the outline
I zoom my canvas up to about 800% to see better :o)

and use the same color for some more details

Now use the magic wand to select the inside areas of the wing, holding down the Shift key to select all the areas, and flood fill with white.

Now select each white area with the magic wand, one at a time, and use a cutout on each white part with the settings below....
Vertical =
0
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 100
Blur = 6
Shadow Color =
#C0C0C0
Fill interior with color (checked) = White
When you have applied all the cutouts, go to "layers" "duplicate" and then "image" "mirror" and you should have two wings. (you can move the copied wing into place later)

Add a new raster layer and change your color to #C39A71 for her head and neck

Now use the mover tool to move that right wing you copied earlier over just a bit.

Now make the head layer active again and use the magic wand to select inside the head and flood fill with #DEC1A8, then pixel paint using the same color to fill in the neck.
