This tutorial was written using Paint Shop Pro 7.

You will need to download these selections and save them in a folder of your choice.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP and the tools needed.

Remember to save your image often.

Feel free to use the tiles below if you want.



Start by opening a new image 400 x 450 on a transparent background.

Go to SELECTIONS - LOAD FROM DISK and browse to the folder you saved your selections into and open the 1-wings.sel, fill with your choice of pattern. I used the blue gingham above at a scale of 15% and an angle of 340. Deselect.

On the same layer open the 2-wings.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to -65 and deselect.

On the same layer open the 3-stitches.sel and fill with black, deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 4-neck.sel and fill with your bear color, I used #C49058, and deselect.

On the same layer open the 5-neck.sel and adjust the brightness -50 and deselect.

Still on the same layer, use Eyecandy 3.1 Weave with these settings.

Still on the same layer use an Eyecandy 3.1 Jiggle with these settings.

Add a new raster layer and open the 6-legs.sel, fill with the same color and deselect.

On the same layer open the 7-legs.sel and adjust the brightness -50, Deselect, apply the same Eyecandy Weave and then the same Eyecandy Jiggle.

Add a new raster layer and open the 8-clothes.sel and fill with your choice, I used the light blue pattern above at a scale of 100%, angle 340. Deselect.

On the same layer open the 9-clothes.sel and adjust the brightness -65 and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 10-clothes.sel, fill with the same pattern and deselect.

On the same layer open the 11-clothes.sel and fill with your choice, I used the same pattern as the wings. Deselect.

On the same layer open the 12-clothes.sel and adjust the brightness -65 and deselect.

On the same layer open the 12-stitches.sel and fill with black. You can skip this if you do not want stitches.... Deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 13-arm.sel, fill with the same color you used for the bear and deselect.

On the same layer open the 14-arm.sel and adjust the brightness -50, deselect, use the same Eyecandy Weave and the same Eyecandy Jiggle.

Add a new raster layer and open the 15-leaf.sel and fill with your choice, I used #86BC86, and deselect.

On the same layer open the 16-leaf.sel and adjust the brightness -65 and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 17-flower.sel and fill with your choice for the flower, deselect.

On the same layer open the 18-flower.sel and adjust the brightness -65 and deselect.

On the same layer open the 19-stitches.sel and fill with black. Deselect. Again this is up to you.

Add a new raster layer and open the 20-flower.sel and fill with your choice, I used #FAE59C and deselect.

On the same layer open the 21-flower.sel and adjust the brightness -65 and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 22-arm.sel and fill with the same bear color and deselect.

On the same layer open the 23-arm.sel and adjust the brightness -50, deselect and use the same Eyecandy Weave and the same Eyecandy Jiggle.

Add a new raster layer and open the 24-head.sel and fill with the same bear color and deselect.

On the same layer open the 25-head.sel and adjust the brightness -50 and deselect. Then open the 29-innerears.sel and adjust the brightness -50 again and deselect. Use the same Eyecandy Weave and Jiggle.

Add a new raster layer and open the 27-muzzle.sel and fill with a lighter color, I used #D1A57B and deselect.

On the same layer open the 28-muzzle.sel and adjust the brightness -50, deselect and use the same Eyecandy Weave and Jiggle.

Add a new raster layer, open the 30-mouth.sel and fill with black. Deselect. Then open the 31-eyes.sel and fill with black. Deselect. Open the 32-nose.sel and fill with black. Deselect. Then open the 33-nose.sel and adjust the brightness to 175 and deselect. You are done....
