This tutorial was written using Paint Shop Pro 7.

You will need to download these selections and save them in a folder of your choice.

Here are the tiles I used for the fur and dress, save these and open them in PSP.


Open a new image 500 x 500 on a transparent background.

Name your first layer hands and feet, go to selections, load from disk and open the handsfeet.sel and fill with the furtile at 100% size. Deselect and on the same layer load the handpads.sel go to colors, adjust, brightness/contrast and change the brightness to 50 and deselect. Still on the same layer open the fingerstitches.sel and fill with black. Deselect.

Add a new layer and name it dress, open the dress.sel fill with the dress pattern and deselect. On the same layer open the dressshade.sel and adjust the brightness to -45 deselect and open the dresslight.sel, adjust the brightness to 45 and deselect.

Add a new layer and name it dress2, open the dress2.sel, fill with very light blue #E6E9EC and deselect. On the same layer open the dress2shade.sel and adjust the brightness to -45 and deselect. Still on the same layer open the dress2light.sel and adjust the brightness to 45 deselect and open the dress2lines.sel and adjust the brightness to -45 and deselect. Same layer, open the dress2stitch.sel and again, adjust the brightness to -45, Deselect...

Add a new layer and name it ears, open the ears.sel, fill with the same fur tile and deselect. On the same layer, open the innerears.sel and adjust the brightness to 50 and deselect.

Add a new layer and name it head, open the head.sel, fill with the same fur tile and deselect.

Add a new layer and name it muzzle, open the muzzle.sel, fill with the same fur tile, then go to effects, 3d effects and apply an Inner Bevel with these settings...

Deselect and go to effects, 3d effects, and apply this Drop Shadow

Still on the same layer, load the mouth.sel and adjust the brightness to -50

Add a new layer and name it eyes-nose, open the eyes-nose.sel, fill this with black and deselect.

Add a new layer and name it highlight, open the highlight.sel, fill this with white and deselect. Go to effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur and apply a guassian blur of 2.

Add a new layer and name it bow, load the bow1.sel, fill with the dress tile and deselect. On the same layer load the bow1shade.sel and adjust the brightness to -45, deselect and load the bow1light.sel and adjust the brightness to 45 and deselect.

Still on the bow layer, load the bow2.sel, fill with same pattern and deselect. Load the bow2shade.sel and adjust the brightness to -45, deselect and load the bow2light.sel and adjust the brightness to 45 and deselect.

Still on the bow layer, load the bow3.sel, fill with same pattern and deselect. Load the bow3shade.sel and adjust the brightness to -45 deselect and load the bow3light.sel and adjust the brightness to 45 and deselect.

I then added a new layer and used the preset shapes tool with the heart shape, using the dress tile for my fill pattern and black for my stroke color, and Dashed for the line style I made some hearts on her dress, but this is up to you...

And you are done!
