This tutorial was written using Paint Shop Pro 7.

You will need to download these selections and save them in a folder of your choice.
This includes her face. It also includes a lace texture, save this into your psp textures folder.


Open a new image 350 x 400 on a transparent background.

Go to SELECTIONS - LOAD FROM DISK and browse to the folder you saved those selections into and open the 1-leg.sel, fill with #E0BD9D and deselect. Go to EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS - CUTOUT using the settings below. Then go to EFFECTS - NOISE and add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer and open the 2-shoe.sel, fill with your choice, I used #202020, and go to EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL using the settings below. Deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 3-leg.sel, fill with the same color you used for the other leg, deselect and use the same cutout as before and add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer, open the 4-shoe.sel and fill with the same color you used for the other shoe, apply the same inner bevel and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 5-neck-arms.sel and fill with the skin color, deselect and use the same cutout, add 3% uniform noise.

On the same layer, open the 6-fingers.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to -40 and the contrast to 0. Deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 7-lace.sel, fill this selection with white using the texture I included in the zip file. See the screenshot below. Deselect

Add a new raster layer and open the 8-dress.sel, fill with your choice making sure you turn the texture back to . I used #B35F5F for the dress. Deselect.

On the same layer open the 9-dress.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to -65 and deselect.

Still on the same layer open the 10-dress.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to 65 and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 11-head.sel, fill with the same skin color, deselect and use the same cutout as before and add 3% uniform noise.

On the same layer open the 12-head.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to -40 and deselect.

On the same layer open the 13-cheeks.sel and fill with #CA5656 and deselect.

Still on the same layer open the 14-head.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to 35 and deselect.

Now open the face.psp included in the zip file and go to EDIT - COPY, then back to the girl, go to EDIT - PASTE AS A NEW LAYER and use the mover tool to place it on the head.

Add a new raster layer and open the 16-hair.sel, fill with your choice, I used #956D49 and deselect.

On the same layer open the 16-hairdark.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to -65 and deselect.

Still on the same layer open the 16-hairlight.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST changing the brightness to 65 and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 17-dress-ribbon.sel and fill this selection with white using the same lace texture as before, deselect and you are done...
