Add a new raster layer right above the sign and use the text tool to write Happy Harvest. I used Tempus Sans for the font at a size of about 26 and bold.

Now you are ready for the shading, I shaded this using the paintbrush with the settings shown below. Change your Forground color a darker shade #373C47 and make the pants layer your active layer. Go to SELECTIONS - SELECT ALL - SELECTIONS - FLOAT and with the pants selected add some shading with the paintbrush.

Then with the pants still selected, switch to a lighter color for highlights #9BA2B5 and use the paintbrush with the same settings for this too.

Then make you cuffs layer active, selections - select all - selections - float, and in the tool options pallet change the size of your paintbrush to about 18 and add some shading and highlights here too using the same colors.

Use these same colors, settings, and brush size to shade the pocket and straps layers.

You will add shading to this entire image the same way, changing the size of the paintbrush as needed and using a darker and lighter shade of colors. The rest of this will be screenshots, showing each part after I shaded it.

I used #7B3D40 and #C28689 for the sleeves and shirt.

I used #3B2B1D for the bottom and #6D4F37 #C0A896 for the shoes.

I used #734D31 and #C99E7F for the hat.

I used #3A404C and #9BA2B5 for the hat band.

I used #998027 and #E9D9A1 for the hair.

I used #B29860 and #F5F1E7 for the head and hands.
