This tutorial was written using Paint Shop Pro 7

Download the selections



Start by opening a new image 350 x 550 on a transparent background

Load the 1-arms.sel and fill with #DFBDA7 and deselect

Load the 2-arms.sel and fill with #BC825C deselect

Load the 3-fingers.sel and fill with the same color and deselect. You may need to zoom in to see this selection.

Add a new raster layer and load the 4-body.sel and fill with #DFBDA7 deselect.

Load the 5-body.sel and fill with #BC825C and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and load the 6-fin.sel and fill with your choice, I used #D79B9B, deselect.

Load the 7-fin.sel and fill with a darker shade, I used #C26868, and deselect.

Load the 8-fin.sel and fill with white, I filled this twice, and deselect.

Load the 9-fin.sel and fill with the same color as the other one, I used #D79B9B, deselect.

Load the 10-fin.sel and fill with the same darker shade #C26868 and deselect.

Load the 11-fin.sel and fill with white, I filled it twice, and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and load the 12-bottom.sel and fill with your choice, I used the same as the fins #D79B9B and deselect.

Load the 13-bottom.sel and fill with white, you may need to zoom in to see this better, and deselect.

Load the 14-bottom.sel and fill with a darker shade #C26868 and deselect.

Load the 15-top.sel and fill with your choice, I used the same #D79B9B and deselect.

Load the 16-top.sel and fill with white and deselect.

Load the 17-top.sel and fill with the darker shade #C26868 and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and load the 18-star.sel and fill with your choice, I used #FFFFC0 and deselect. You can use an inner bevel on this, I used Eyecandy 3.1 Glass with the settings below.

Add a new raster layer and load the 19-head.sel and fill with #DFBDA7 deselect.

Load the 20-head.sel and fill with #BC825C deselect.

Load the 21-head.sel and fill with the same color and deselect.

Load the 22-head.sel and fill with the same color and deselect.

Load the 23-cheeks.sel and fill with #DF836D and deselect.

Load the 24-cheeks.sel and fill with #F5D5CF and deselect.

Load the 25-nose.sel and fill with #BC825C and deselect. You may need to zoom in to see this :o)

Load the 26-nose.sel and fill with the same color and deselect.

Load the 27-nose.sel and fill with #F0DFD4 and deselect.

Load the 28-eyebrows.sel and fill with #C19272 and deselect.

Load the 29-lips.sel and fill with #C5877D and deselect.

Load the 30-lips.sel and fill with #B36F63 and deselect.

Load the 31-lips.sel and fill with #D9AFA8 and deselect.

Load the 32-eyes.sel and fill with #202020 and deselect.

Load the 33-eyes.sel and fill with #F3E5DB and deselect.

Load the 34-eyes.sel and fill with the same color and deselect.

Load the 35-eyes.sel and fill with whatever color you want her eyes to be and deselect.

Load the 36-eyes.sel and fill with #202020 and deselect.

Load the 37-eyes.sel and fill with white. Zoom in for this too, it is little highlights in her eyes.

Add a new raster layer and load the 38-hair.sel and fill with your hair color, I used #C19272, deselect.

Load the 39-hair.sel and fill with a darker shade, I used #7E583E and deselect.

Load the 40-hair.sel and fill with a lighter shade, I used #EADAD0 and deselect.

Load the 41-hair.sel and fill with the same hair color and deselect.

Load the 42-hair.sel and fill with the same darker hair color and deselect.

Load the 43-hair.sel and fill with the same lighter hair color and deselect.

Load the 44-hair.sel and fill with the same hair color and deselect.

Load the 45-hair.sel and fill with the same darker hair color and deselect.

Load the 46-hair.sel and fill with the same lighter hair color and deselect.

Load the 47-hair.sel and fill with the same hair color and deselect.

Load the 48-hair.sel and fill with the same darker hair color and deselect.

Load the 49-hair.sel and fill with the same lighter hair color and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and load the 50-ear.sel and fill with #DFBDA7 deselect. Go to "effects" "3D effects" "cutout" with the settings below.

Load the 51-ear.sel and fill with #BC825C and deselect.

Load the 52-bangs.sel and fill with the same hair color and deselect.

Load the 53-bangs.sel and fill with the same darker hair color and deselect.

Load the 54-bangs.sel and fill with the same lighter hair color and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and load the 55-bubbles.sel and fill with your choice, I used a light blue, deselect and use the same inner bevel you used before or the same eyecandy glass. I changed the Bevel Width to 5 in the eyecandy glass settings but left the rest the same.

Add a new raster layer and load the 56-stars.sel and fill with your choice, I made one yellow and one pink. You can fill one at a time by going to the tool options pallet and changing your "Match Mode" to "RGB Value" and fill your stars, when you are finished change it back to "None". Use the same inner bevel or eyecandy glass for these stars.

Add a new raster layer and load the 57-bubbles.sel and fill with your choice, I used a very light blue, inner bevel / eyecandy glass and deselect.

Add a new raster layer and load the 58-bubbles.sel and fill with your choice, inner bevel / eyecandy glass and deselect. You are done :o)
