This was made using Paint Shop Pro 7

You will need to download the selections and save them in a folder of your choice.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of psp and the tools needed.

I used a pretty big canvas size for this and there are a lot of steps involved
remember to save often


Open a new image 500 x 950 on a transparent background

Selections - Load from disk - load the 1-legs.sel and fill with #5E6C7A deselect

On the same layer load the 2-legs.sel and fill with white deselect. You can skip this part if you are using a pattern.

On the same layer load the 3-legs.sel and go to Colors - Adjust - Brightness/Contrast changing the brightness to -75 and the contrast at 0 deselect

On the same layer load the 4-legs.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect.

Layers - New raster layer - load the 5-shoes.sel and fill with #876B5B deselect

On the same layer load the 6-shoes.sel and adjust the brightness = -75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 7-shoes.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 8-shoes.sel and fill with #2A201A go to Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel using the settings below and deselect

On the same layer load the 9-shoes.sel fill with the same #2A201A and apply the same inner bevel changing the Angle to 175 in the settings and deselect.

On the same layer load the 10-shoes.sel and fill with white, go to Effects - Texture - Sculpture and use the default settings for "Gold" in the drop down menu. Deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 11-backhand.sel and fill with #5B7D5B - Selections - Float and then Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout using the settings below and deselect.


Add a new raster layer and load the 12-backarm.sel fill with #B74343 and deselect

On the same layer load the 13-backarm.sel and adjust the brightness = -75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 14-backarm.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

Go to Effects - Noise - Add 3% uniform noise

Add a new raster layer and load the 15-backarm.sel fill with #B19C91 and deselect

On the same layer load the 16-backarm.sel and fill with #D9CFC9 and deselect

On the same layer load the 17-backarm.sel fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 18-coat.sel fill with #B74343 and deselect

On the same layer load the 19-coat.sel and adjust the brightness = -75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 20-coat.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

Add 3% uniform noise

Add a new raster layer and load the 21-coat.sel fill with #B19C91 and deselect

On the same layer load the 22-coat.sel and fill with #D9CFC9 deselect

On the same layer load the 23-coat.sel fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 24-coat.sel and fill with #B74343 deselect

On the same layer load the 25-coat.sel and adjust the brightness = -75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 26-coat.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

Add 3% uniform noise

Add a new raster layer load the 27-coat.sel and fill with #B19C91 deselect

On the same layer load the 28-coat.sel and fill with #D9CFC9 and deselect

On the same layer load the 29-coat.sel fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 30-belt.sel fill with black and deselect

On the same layer load the 31-belt.sel and adjust the brightness = 250 and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 32-belt.sel fill with white and apply the same gold sculpture and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 33-buttons.sel fill with white and use the same gold sculpture again and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 34-bells.sel and fill with #6C4632 then go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow using the settings below and deselect

Vertical = 0
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 80
Blur = 18.5
Color = Black

Add a new raster layer load the 35-hand.sel fill with #5B7D5B - Selections - Float and apply the same cutout as before and deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 36-arm.sel fill with #B74343 and deselect

On the same layer load the 37-arm.sel and adjust the brightness = -75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 38-arm.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

Add 3% uniform noise

Add a new raster layer load the 39-arm.sel and fill with #B19C91 deselect

On the same layer load the 40-arm.sel and fill with #D9CFC9 deselect

On the same layer load the 41-arm.sel fill with white and deselect

Here is what you should have so far....

Add a new raster layer load the 42-bells.sel and fill with #81553D deselect

On the same layer load the 43-bells.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 44-bells.sel and fill with #D8AE59 while still selected apply an inner bevel with the settings below

Then while still selected apply a drop shadow with the same settings as before deselect

On the same layer load the 45-bells.sel fill with black and deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 46-head.sel fill with #DEC5B2 and deselect

On the same layer load the 47-head.sel fill with #C39C7F and deselect

On the same layer load the 48-cheeks.sel and fill with #C56F71 deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 49-hat.sel fill with #B74343 deselect

On the same layer load the 50-hat.sel and adjust the brightness = -75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 51-hat.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

Add 3% uniform noise

Add a new raster layer load the 52-beard.sel and fill with #B19C91 deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 53-mouth.sel and fill with #5B4F49 deselect

On the same layer load the 54-mouth.sel and fill with #C56F71 deselect

On the same layer load the 55-mouth.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 56-nose.sel fill with #DEC5B2 and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 57-face.sel fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 58-eyes.sel fill with black and deselect

On the same layer load the 59-eyes.sel (( It's a little selection in the eyes, you may need to zoom in on the canvas )) fill this with white and deselect

On the same layer load the 60-eyes.sel and fill with #5E6C7A deselect

Add a new raster layer and load the 61-hat.sel fill with #B19C91 and deselect

On the same layer load the 62-hat.sel and fill with #D9CFC9 and deselect

On the same layer load the 63-hat.sel and fill with white and deselect


Add a new raster layer and load the 64-beard.sel fill with #D9CFC9 and deselect

On the same layer load the 65-beard.sel and fill with white deselect

On the same layer load the 66-beard.sel fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 67-beard.sel and fill with #D9CFC9 deselect

On the same layer load the 68-beard.sel and go to Selections - Modify - Feather = 1 then fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer load the 69-tree.sel and fill with #6C4632 deselect

On the same layer load the 70-tree.sel and fill with #876B5B deselect

On the same layer load the 71-tree.sel and adjust the brightness = 75 and deselect

On the same layer load the 72-needles.sel and fill with #27472F deselect

On the same layer load the 73-needles.sel fill with #5B7D5B deselect

On the same layer load the 74-needles.sel and fill with #77A582 and deselect.... The End...
