This tutorial was written using Paint Shop Pro 7.

You will need to download these selections and save them in a folder of your choice. Her eyes, mouth and hair are included.

This is a pretty big image, remember to save often and empty your clipboard and command history.

Open a new image 600 x 850 on a transparent background.

Go to SELECTIONS - LOAD FROM DISK and open the 1-legs.sel, fill with #E0BAA6 and deselect. On the same layer SELECTIONS - LOAD FROM DISK and open the 2-legs.sel, fill with #D09A7C and deselect. Go to EFFECTS - NOISE and add 3% uniform noise.

LAYERS - NEW RASTER LAYER and open the 3-socks.sel, fill with #F3E7DB and deselect. On the same layer open the 4-socks.sel and go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST brightness=-65 contrast=0 and deselect. Add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer and open the 5-shoes.sel, fill with #6D5353 and deselect. Go to EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL using the settings below.

Still on the shoes layer use the retouch tool set at DARKEN RGB with these settings...

Shape = Round
Size = 6
Hardness = 0
Opacity = 30
Step = 1
Density = 75

Run the brush slowly along the bottom of each shoe to darken them like so...

Add a new raster layer and open the 6-back-hairbow.sel, fill with the same color, SELECTIONS - INVERT and then EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS - DROP SHADOW with the settings below, deselect.

Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 90
Blur = 10
Color = Black

Add a new raster layer and open the 7-neck.sel, fill with #E0BAA6 and deselect. On the same layer open the 8-neck.sel and fill with #D09A7C, deselect. Add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer, open the 9-dress.sel and fill with #9D7B7B, deselect. On the same layer open the 10-dress.sel and COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST with the same settings as before and deselect. Add 3% uniform noise.

Still on the dress layer, open the 11-dress-trim.sel and fill this selection with #F3E7DB changing the opacity of this fill to 60 in the tool options.

Add a new raster layer and open the 12-teddyfoot.sel, fill this with #BDA086, turning the opacity back to 100 in the tool options, deselect. Go to EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS - CUTOUT with the settings below. Then add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer and open the 13-teddyfoot.sel, fill with the same color, deselect, apply the same cutout and 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer and open the 14-teddybody.sel, fill with the same color, apply the same cutout changing the blur to 44, add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer, open the 15-back-sleeves.sel, fill with #B7A695, deselect.

Add a new raster layer, open the 16-teddyarms.sel and fill with the same bear color #BDA086 and deselect. Apply the same cutout, changing the blur to 33. Add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer, open the 17-teddybow1.sel and fill with #F3E7DB, SELECTIONS - INVERT and apply a drop shadow with these settings...

Vertical = 4
Horizontal = 0
Opacity = 40
Blur = 15
Color = Black

Deselect and apply the same drop shadow again.

Add a new raster layer, open the 18-teddybow2.sel, fill with the same color, SELECTIONS - INVERT and apply the same drop shadow. Deselect and apply the same drop shadow again.

Add a new raster layer, open the 19-teddyears.sel, fill with the same bear color #BDA086 and deselect. Apply the same cutout as before changing the blur to 22. Add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer, open the 20-teddyhead.sel and fill with the same color. Apply the same cutout changing the blur to 35. Add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer, open the 21-teddymuzzle.sel and fill with the same color. Apply the same cutout changing the blur to 30. Add 3% uniform noise.

On the same layer, open the 22-teddymouth.sel and COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST with the same settings. Deselect.

Add a new raster layer, open the 23-teddyeyes-nose.sel and fill with black. Deselect and EFFECTS - 3D EFFECTS - INNER BEVEL using the settings below.

Add a new raster layer, open the 24-teddybow3.sel and fill with #F3E7DB, SELECTIONS - INVERT and apply a drop shadow with the same settings as before. Deselect and apply the same drop shadow again.

Add a new raster layer, open the 25-teddybow4.sel and fill with the same color, SELECTIONS - INVERT and the same drop shadow. Deselect and the same drop shadow again.

Add a new raster layer and open the 26-hands.sel, fill with #E0BAA6 and deselect. On the same layer open the 27-hands.sel and fill with #D09A7C, deselect. On the same layer open the 28-hands.sel and fill with #C48E70, deselect. Add 3% uniform noise.

Add a new raster layer and open the 29-sleeve.sel, fill with #F3E7DB and deselect. On the same layer open the 30-sleeve.sel and COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST with the same settings and deselect.

On the same layer open the 31-top.sel, fill with the same color, deselect and open the 32-top.sel and adjust the brightness using the same settings. Deselect.

Still on the same layer open the 33-sleeve.sel, fill with the same color and deselect. Open the 34-sleeve.sel and adjust the brightness using the same settings. deselect.

On the same layer open the 35-trim.sel, fill with #6D5353 and deselect.

On the same layer open the 36-collar.sel and fill with #F3E7DB, deselect and open the 37-collar.sel, adjust the brightness using the same settings, deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 38-head.sel, fill with #E0BAA6 and deselect. Open the 39-head.sel and fill with black, deselect. Open the 40-head.sel and fill with #D8A78C, deselect. Open the 41-head.sel and fill with #C48E70, deselect. Open the 42-head.sel and fill with the same color, deselect. Open the 43-head.sel and fill with #E89587 for the cheeks. Deselect and add 3% uniform noise.

Included in the zip file is her eyes and mouth, open this up and copy - paste on a new layer and use the mover tool to move it into place.

The hair is included too, copy and paste this on a new layer and move it into place. Once you get the hair into place you can go to COLORS - ADJUST - BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST with the same settings to make the hair darker... Or of course you can make your own hair...

Add a new raster layer and open the 44-bow.sel, fill with #6D5353, SELECTIONS - INVERT and apply a drop shadow with these settings. Deselect.

Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 90
Blur = 10
Color = Black

Add a new raster layer and open the 45-bow.sel, fill with the same color, SELECTIONS - INVERT and apply the same drop shadow. Deselect.

Add a new raster layer and open the 46-bow.sel, fill with the same color, SELECTIONS - INVERT and apply the same drop shadow. Deselect. And you are done!
