This tutorial was written using Paint Shop Pro 7

You will need EyeCandy 3.1 for this tutorial.

Download the selections.


Open a new image 610 x 625 on a transparent background

Name your first layer wings

Go to "selections" "load from disk" and open the 1-wings.sel

Flood fill with #BBBBC5

Go to "effects" "plugins" "eyecandy 3.1" "inner bevel" and use the settings below

Deselect and load the 2-wings.sel

Fill with the same color

Use the same eyecandy inner bevel and deselect

Load the 3-wings.sel

Fill with the same color

Use the same eyecandy inner bevel and deselect

Load the 4-wings.sel

Fill with the same color

Use the same eyecandy inner bevel and deselect

Add a new raster layer and name it back leg

Load the 5-backleg.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 6-backleg-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer, load the 7-backleg-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Go to "effects" "plugins" "eyecandy 3.1" "weave" with the settings below

Add a new raster layer and name it back arm

Load the 8-backarm.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 9-backarm-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 10-backarm-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Add a new raster layer and name it body

Load the 11-body.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 12-body-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 13-body-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Add a new raster layer and name it leg

Load the 14-leg.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 15-leg-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 16-leg-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Add a new raster layer and name it ears

Load the 17-ears.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 18-ears-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 19-ears-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Add a new raster layer and name it head

Load the 20-head.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 21-head-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 22-head-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Add a new raster layer and name it muzzle

Load the 23-muzzle.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 24-muzzle-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 25-muzzle-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Add a new raster layer and name it eyes - nose

Load the 26-eyes-nose.sel

Fill with black and deselect

Same layer, load the 27-eyes-nose-light.sel

Fill with white and deselect

Add a new raster layer and name it arm

Load the 28-arm.sel

Fill with #9D8267 and deselect

Same layer, load the 29-arm-light.sel

Fill with #C0B0A0 and deselect

Same layer load the 30-arm-dark.sel

Fill with #7E6750 and deselect

Use the same eyecandy weave.

Now you can apply an eyecandy jiggle to the bear parts if you want.

I used the smudge brush for a fuzzy look, pulling the edges out a little.
