Kandys Frame 2





1. Open a image you want to frame. (check the size out in the lower left corner) mines 350x456
2. Open a New Image…Transparent background the size of your image PLUS 65 (This 65 is for the frame)
    so my new transparent image is 415x521
3. Add new raster layer
4. Go to your picture (the one your going to frame) and take your selection tool Antialias checked feather 0 rectangle shape.
5. Now were going to take part of our image to flood fill the frame so on this picture I used my selection tool
   and took a piece from the left side (on the top) of the picture background like this left side
6. Go to selections convert to seamless pattern (if a message comes up your to close to the end so you just make your
   selection over a little further. selection right
7. This is the patterns I got from doing steps 5 and 6 as you can see there not even the same size so it doesn’t matter. sample
8. Now set your foreground on Pattern (find the darkest pattern you just made)   settings are Scale 100 Angle 0
9. Set your background on pattern (find the lighter pattern you just made) Scale 100 Angle 0
10. Now go to the new image you opened with the transparent background and check your layer pallet to make sure your
   on layer 2 (layer one is for the picture)
11. Use your flood fill bucket and flood the layer with the foreground pattern
12. Selections "select all"
13. Selections...Modify...contract 25 and cut cut
14. Add a new Raster layer and flood fill it with your background pattern (leave selected at all times till I tell you otherwise)
15. Selections...Modify...contract 25 and Cut again
16. Add a new Raster layer and flood fill it with the foreground pattern
17. Selections...Modify...contract 25 and Cut again
18. Now you should have 3 layers with a part of the frame on it (hoping here) *giggle*
19. Still selected on layer 4 go to selections...Modify...expand 5
20. Effects...3D effects...Inner Bevel and use these settings inner bevel settings
21. Select. none
22. Highlight layer 2 on your layer pallet (it’s the outside of your frame)
23. Selections...select all...modify... contract 5
24. Selections invert
25. Effects...3D effects...Inner bevel and use the same settings as in step 20
26. Now highlight layer 3 on your layers pallet (middle of the frame)
27. Select all...Select float
28. Effects... 3D effects...Inner bevel and use the same settings again
29. Copy your picture and place it on layer one and adjust as needed
30. I un sharpened my picture just a little bit (that all depends on the picture your using) so it lightened it a little
31. Go to you layer pallet and shut off layer one (your picture) it will have a red x were the glasses are showing its off
32. Click on layer 4 (to select it) and go to layers merge visible (this puts all the parts of the frame together)
33. Now you can add a drop shadow inside your frame (all depends what you like for the settings here)
34. Once your done make sure all layers are turned back on and merge visible
35. Resize it to what ever size you want it to be
